Highlight Field issue , Cant Select checkmark

I have a custom AI skill that extracts a variety of fields from fax copies of forms. The quality of these copies can vary, but for the most part, the model works. However, there is an issue with the some extractions. Many of them are incorrectly extracted or have a low confidence level. Even when I retrain the model, there are instances where the document look good visually, but I am unable to select and highlight them or map them correctly. For example, the OCR does not recognize the check mark in the image below.

Question

What is the solution to these types of highlight/selector issues? When I select a larger area and map them, my overall AI skill’s confidence goes down.
