Hi @Jyothsna_B1

Please find the answers:

  1. If you cannot find the Open Browser/Open Application activity, it could be because you have not installed the necessary package. Make sure that you have installed the UiPath.UIAutomation.Activities package. Also, include modern activities in the activity panel filter.

  2. Run File executes the current (only which currently opened) workflow without debugging, Debug runs the entire workflow in a step-by-step mode and allows you to inspect and modify variables at runtime, while Run executes the entire workflow without debugging.

  3. To determine which type of condition to use in a Flow Decision activity, you need to consider the type of comparison you want to make. If you are comparing two values for equality or inequality, you can use Equal or Not Equal conditions. If you are comparing numerical values, you can use Greater Than, Greater Than or Equal To, Less Than or Less Than or Equal To conditions. If you are comparing strings, you can use Contains, Starts With, Ends With, or Regex Match conditions.

  4. The Switch activity is used when you want to execute different sequences of activities based on the value of a variable. For example, you can use the Switch activity to branch your workflow based on the value of a string variable.

  5. The ToString() method is used to convert a variable of any data type to a string. This can be useful when you want to concatenate variables of different data types or when you want to display the value of a variable in a message box or log message.

  6. If you are unable to open a Word document in UiPath, make sure that you have the necessary permissions to access the file and that the file is not open in another program. You can also try using the Start Process activity to open the Word application.

Hope this helps,
Best Regards.

Hi,

1.couldnt find openbrowser/open application.

Can you try to turn on (Show)Classic at Filter in Activities panel?

image

OR

Can you turn off ModernDesingExperience in project settings?

OR

Use UseApplication/Browser activity instead of OpenBrowser/Applciation.

2.what is the difference between runfile vs debud vs run

Runfile : run the active workflow
DebugFile: run the active workflow with debugmode. we can set Breakpoint etc and check content of variable etc.
Run : run workflow which is set entry point: in generl Main.xaml

The following document also helps you.

3.how to know which type condition should be used in “flow decision”

Can you elaborate?

  1. At what situations do we use “switch” from Activities pannel in UiPath.

In general, use it when there are 3 or more cases and improve readability than using IF/Else

5.At what situations do we use To.String() in UiPath

When string type is required as argument of some activity or method.

6.unable to open “word document”

Can you try yo use Word.Activites package if you haven’t use it yet?

Regards,

thank you Arjun, iam grateful to u
