Governance File Policy Not updated

Team,
We trying to set a global Governance file policy in UiPath,
We are using UiPath : Studio 2021.10.4
Orchestrator: 2020 version.
We followed the article : https://docs.uipath.com/studio/docs/governance#using-an-orchestrator-asset
and still couldnt set a company policy globally using this orch-Asset method,

• We set the Asset value as Global value and not restricted to any users.

Hi @coderbro,

Have you assigned users to this UIpath.settings.config folder as well?

Only users who are assigned this folder would have policy enabled in their studio.

Based on the settings,

This policy can be applied globally, we dont want user based policy.
Only if we add users this policy will be applied?,

Hi @coderbro,

There are 2 things when we talk about “applying policy to users”.

Let me explain about those one by one.

1. When we say apply policy to users(say 10) globally, here we need to allocate those users to the folder ‘UIpath.settings.config’ Please note global policy doesn’t mean orchestrator will pick all the users defined in orchestrator automatically and will apply policy to them. So to apply policy to these 10 users globally as well, you will need to do the following:
   ->go to tenant-> folders-> select UIpath.settings.config folder. In the right panel on the screen, you will see 2 tabs - machines and users. Go to users and add users here on whom you want to apply global policy.

2. Now when we talk about applying specific policy to users, that means going to asset and adding users(out of 10) there with different policy value. Please note here you would be able to add only the users that you have defined in the first step.
