I started my UiPath learning journey in February 2025. For learning purposes, I have chosen some popular sources like Coursera, Udemy, etc. However, most of these courses are based on the Classic Design, while Modern Design Experience has become the default in the latest versions of UiPath Studio.
Because of this, many important activities shown in the courses are either missing, renamed, or significantly changed. Additionally, some of the recommended solutions, tools, and techniques from older tutorials no longer work in the current UiPath version.
I would like to ask if anyone else is experiencing the same issue?
Does UiPath provide any official or up-to-date learning materials specifically tailored for the Modern Design Experience?
If you know any good and updated resources (courses, documentation, or tutorials), I would really appreciate your recommendations.
Thank you for your response. Do you recommend me to finish old version’s educations? For coding part It wont be helpful but maybe for understanding concepts,if concepts doesn’t change. I’am asking because Getting a certificate is as important as knowing the job. I am aware of UİPath’s professional and associate cretificates. before applying them what do you suggest?
Concepts are same, but newer activities or packages may have additional functionality that can be asked in Certification or Interview, so I would suggest you start learning modern design rather that completing clasic one.
UiPath academy is the most updated source of learning I would advise you to follow.
Regarding which experience you should be learning, classic or modern?
It depends on the environment you are in going to be. If you are going to use Studio version less than 2024.10 then you should know classic experience along with modern.
If going to use Studio version>= 2024.10 learning Modern experience is sufficient.
If you are already under way that course, yes you can consider completing the same. Concepts are same just some differences you would find in the newer and modern version of activities.
And getting certificate doesn’t harm!! Why waste the efforts that you have already spent?
Also, even in your interviews, this can show up as a good thing that you are good at adapting yourselves.
Plus, even when you join a company, there may be scenarios where you need to deal with classic activities whenever there arises a need for maintaining projects(classic) that are already running in production for years.
However, you may find some challenge in practicing what you are learning as you may not be able to find some features/tools that are specified in the course unless you download and practice on same version you are learning the course for.
