Get first x element of a large DataTable

Hi All,

currently I’m trying to get a better performance for my implemented automation. One task of the implementation is to get the index of the first row with value “199” in column x of a large datatable with up to 9000 rows. If I do it with a “for each row” activity, it takes up to 15 minutes to iterate through the list, because in most cases, the first “199”-value will appear between row 8000 and 9000.

My question is, whether someone has any other idea to get the index of the first “199”-value in a shorter time.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @kadir.kilincarslan

Why can’t u use lookup datatable activitiy
Try with that

thx for your answer. The column contains more than one “199”-value. In this case, is it ensured, that I will always get the first rowindex?

Yes @kadir.kilincarslan

Lookup datatable will return first occurrence
