The documentation says there may be several day lag in the generated summary, has anyone tried anything to get it to return real time? I have a use case where time sensitivity is critical and it must return real time
Hi @Lynn_Song
It depends. I was able to extract real time values based on the Search I asked, as you can see below:
My Search:
My Result:
The Actual Result:
The sources used by the activity are different from what I referred:
Conclusion:
The Activity does not Guarantee Real-Time. But it will do it’s best. And it depends on what is asked. If the real time data requested is something that cannot be confirmed by the Model through multiple sources, you may get mixed results.
The Search I requested had multiple sources and quite easy for the model to confirm in real-time. Also, How real-time are we talking? Every Minute matter or Hours? In the case of my search request, the data changes only after 24 hours.
If this answers your question, Do mark it as a solution. If you need further information, I’ll gladly help.
If you wish to know the inner workings of the activity (as to, why the lag?), I guess you can tag the UiPath Team to know more.
Happy Automation
Extra Note:
Since the activity uses Perplexity AI, Here is what it says on their official page:
My assumption: UiPath does not guarantee real-time or maybe due to something on the backend. But it is possible with the right prompt.
Thank you so much for the details, much appreciated! yea it’s a great idea to add the date in the prompt so hope for the best, for my use case the data gets updated on a specific date and the bot needs to extract the updated information. If this doesn’t work out well I may have to first use “web search” to return the current url, then use “web reader” to extract
