Hi

Starting from version 2020.10.0, UiPath introduced a new feature called “Unattended Automation with Studio”, which allows Unattended Robots to edit and publish workflows. Prior to this version, only Attended and Development Robots were allowed to edit workflows.

However, to use this feature, you need to have an Unattended Robot license and a valid Studio license. You also need to enable the “Unattended Automation with Studio” feature in the UiPath Orchestrator. Once enabled, the Unattended Robots can edit workflows just like the Attended and Development Robots.

It is important to note that the Unattended Robots can only edit workflows that are assigned to them by the Orchestrator, and they cannot edit workflows that are already running on other robots.

Hi @Srini84

Thanks your reply. I have seen these, but My customers think it’s not clearly enough.
I have seen some docs like ‘edit’ ‘process’ etc., but I can’t find now. :frowning:

Here is the link to the UiPath release notes for version 2020.10:

https://docs.uipath.com/releasenotes/docs/uipath-2020-10-release-notes

In these release notes, UiPath officially announced the “Attended Robots can Edit Workflows” feature for unattended robots, as well as many other new features and improvements. You can find more information about this feature and others in the release notes.

Hi @donghai

There is no specific version of UiPath Studio that allows an Unattended Robot license to directly edit workflows in UiPath Studio. Unattended Robots are typically used for automation tasks that do not require human intervention and are designed to run in the background on a server or virtual machine.

Thanks!

There is a version after which Unattended Robots were allowed edit and publish workflows.

I couldn’t fine the release notes
@donghai
Would recommend to check with ur TAM or UiPath support on this

Cheers
