New HTTP Request activity is in town

This update looks really helpful, especially the retry and file upload parts. A quick feedback on this—having built-in option for request and response logging (headers and body) would be very useful, not just for this, but for all API-related activities. Right now, we use Log Message or Write Line, but still need to add extra steps and write expressions just to check what is being sent or received. Yes, you were right – I checked dt_Filteredreport and it was coming out empty, which is why the second For Each wasn’t running. After correcting the filter condition, it’s now returning 3 rows and the loop runs perfectly. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! Cheers!

Issue when refershing Excel sources

Hi, what is the Expire after a period for the token that you are using for SharePoint connection? Also can you try * Open the Excel file manually, log in, and check “Remember my credentials”. then Save and close the file. If this doesn’t work then try creating a powershell script to refresh the data connection. The last option is automate the process to open the Excel window, and if the login popup window appears, then the robot should log in to the source.

Read CSV: Craziness

Read CSV was always part of the Excel dependency (I never liked this as a CSV is a text file and so doesn’t require Excel at all), they have just grouped it now with the other activities in that package and changed the icon, those are superficial changes. "missing test case file in the data manager"

Thank you all for your responses, but none of them had worked for me. Finally, with a bit of assistance from ChatGPT, I managed to find the solution. It turned out that the main JSON file contained a phantom reference. I edited the file using Notepad, removed the reference, and it worked perfectly. thanks again.

Reading Excel files in web studio

Basically you wont be able to access the local drive storage (C:/D:). You need to connect to Microsoft 365 ( Microsoft OneDrive & SharePoint connector ) to access it via OneDrive. If you still need to access using the excel file methos, then follow the below steps: Upload your excel file to the storage bucket Use download storage file activity Use the output of the download storage file activity as input for read range workbook

there was a concept change from string (FilePath) to IRessources give a try at LocalResource.FromPath(item) LocalResource.FromPath(in_ArchiveFolder) let us also know which package version of UiPath.System.Activites is used

Hey @Matias_Clemente.Arg, You can definitely achieve this using a simple combination of activities. There isn’t a direct “check for new files” activity, but here’s what works well: Use Directory.GetFiles("YourFolderPath") to get all the files in the folder. Select item is getting failed

Hey @Sanket_Shinde1, Please try the following: Use a Click activity first to expand the dropdown, followed by a small delay (500–1000 ms), then use Type Into to pass the value and press [k(enter)]. This approach is more reliable if Select Item doesn’t hold the value. Also, ensure the variable has no extra spaces by using .Trim, and confirm that the value exists exactly as it appears in the dropdown list. Hope this will resolve your issue

Hey @thrinatha.boyathi1, If you’re using VB.NETstrong text**** in a UiPath library and trying to assign an InArgument to an OutArgument, you’ll get a type mismatch error. Correct way to do it: OutputArg = New OutArgument(Of String)(Function(ctx) InputArg.Get(ctx)) Make sure: Replace String with your actual data type. Hi @balkishan Regarding bringing the application/browser to the foreground, you can search for an activity called Activate and drag it into your Use Application/Browser container right at the top. This will bring the browser to the foreground. For your browser closing, please check the property Close on your Use Application/Browser activity, and change it to NEVER, if that is the desired behaviour. Regards Soren

This will bring the browser to the foreground. @hagejox828, It is due to incompatibility between code developed studio version and the bot running Robot version. You can either downgrade your package version from the studio and redeploy or you can upgrade the robot version compatible with your Studio version. Refer this compatibility matrix for reference. that was one method -split returns a plain cut based on exact text match; regex allows flexible, case-insensitive search and can use patterns to match complex text.
