Finding application versions

Hello everyone.

I was wondering if there are any good ideas, to get version/build numbers of an application when using it in a proces, in effective ways? The version number would only have to be written as output, so we can use it elsewhere.

The most stable way would be preferred (getting version and build number from settings for example, would entail opening the application and so on, which could create an error or slow the proces).

Main applications programs would be: Word, Excel, Outlook and so on. Browsers like internet explorer and firefox would also be good.

We don’t have the newest version of UIPath installed yet, so maybe there is already an inbuilt activity for something like this?

Thanks
