Resolution when TFS-connected project is not "marked" as closed when using Studio "X" button to close.

Investigation Steps in Studio:

  1. Get the project from TFS
  2. Check out file
  3. Do the changes
  4. Check-in file (do not close file in Studio)
  5. Close Studio Above process keeps file checked out for developer even earlier Studio versions did not keep that file open if it was checked in and Studio was closed.

Resolution:
  • Update Studio to version 20.10.3 or higher .
