Fetch the target of an A-HREF

I am automating a process in Chrome.
In a site, there is a HTML link:

<A NAME="mylink"
ID="mylink" HREF="http://www.mysite.com/path/report123.txt"
onclick="window.open('http://www.mysite.com/path/report123.txt','',''); return false;"
>
report123.txt
</a>

If I simulate the click on the link, it opens a new tab, and this tends to crash more often.
I would like to fetch the full path from the link target and to navigate the browser directly there.
Is there a way?
With the screen scraping I was only able to get the text of the link (report123.txt), not the full path (http://www.mysite.com/path/report123.txt)

@borreo
get Attribute with the selector to the link and attribute href should help you on this

Screenscraping should also be possible for fetching URLs. Otherwise the extract XML can be reconfigured for this column to Catch the href Attribute instead of the Text attribute
