Extracting specific elements from scanned pdf's

Hi , i would appreciate help.

I need to extract specific text from a scanned pdf and paste the results in a single excel, however there are around 1000+ documents, is there a way to loop and open every pdf document if you using “get OCR text” and get all the results in an excel sheet?

Read multiple pdf files from a folder

I am new to uipath and creating my first sample project where I would like to read multiple fields from multiple pdf files. I have started by using select folder, extracting the file paths using Directory.GetFiles. Then I read each item in the list of files i get. How do i perform the get text for reading a particular field from all the pdfs and storing it in an excel. Kindly help.

Hi, thanks for the help.

Im currently working on opening a pdf( different pdf: invoice, receipt etc…) file, then reading the heading of the file (scanned image), if heading says “Invoice” , i want to close that pdf and move it to a separate folder. Is this possible ? if so please could i have an example.

I have a flow that opens each pdf then reads the heading and stores the output in a string, however my if condition is not working…

Hi this problem is happening because you’re using the string type , but the output is an array os strings."System.String [’ '] " . Check what’s the output of for each loop.

Thank you both (@Manjuts90 and @PrankurJoshi)! Could you (or anybody else) by any chance show me how to choose the different files. Let’s say that a item in the string array “FullPath” contains .pdf. How do I choose this specific file in the loop? I prefer not to use OCR, but the Read PDF text activity. I have the same question in regards to the reading of the word documents.
