Hello I am trying to extract information (stored in an excel file) from a local computer using Uipath to my remote desktop. Which kind of automation should I use and is there any tutorial on how to proceed with this kind of work?

Citrix Automation can be used, because the remote desktop that you have connected to, from your windows machine, appears as virtualized environment.
Do you want to extract data from excel file in local system and then transfer it in a folder in the Remote Desktop that you are connected to ?
