Explanation of Activity Border Colors

The developers of UiPath took the time to provide an assortment of partial and full activity border colors. I use dark mode. I see color borders appearing either partially or entirely on the left side of an activity and sometimes bordering the entire activity.

Where can we find documentation that illustrates each border type and color along with an explanation of what these borders mean?

We don’t have official documentation for this but I will try to cover it here:

  • if there is a scope activity it will have full border colour (in both selected and not selected state)
  • if there is a regular activity the border is only coloured on the header for the not selected; if the activity is selected, border will become full
  • colours are originated in the activity package and the intent is to provide a visual cue of the business system it interacts to.

I still vote we should be able to turn them off. I hated this new feature as it just adds ‘visual noise’
