Exiting Word application without saving

Hello to all,

I’m trying to create a PDF using a Word document as a template.
For example, there is a placeholder named “%Word%” in a document, and replace it with the strings “PDF1”, and save it as a PDF.
Repeat it to create multiple PDFs. Source strings are varied.

When exiting Word Application Scope, the Word document is saved automatically.
However, Word document is as templates, so I don’t want to change it.
Is there any way to exit Word Application only with saving PDF and without saving the Word file?

Did you untick “Auto save”

Thank you for your advice.
I uncheck this option, but the file is still saved.
Therefore I thought this option was either ignored or for another purpose.
