Hey all,
We don’t regularly run our bots on the weekend so I’m trying to exclude Saturdays and Sundays from our Robot Utilisation dashboard.
Is there a known way to remove or filter out specified days of the week in Insights?
I’ve been trying to find a way to format date results to include the day of the week so I can exclude weekends that way but have had no luck.
Thanks,
Julian
Hi @Julian_Lewis
Set the time trigger in orchestartor and configure like below,

Hi @Julian_Lewis
At which time do you want to trigger the bot in week days. You can use the cron expression to trigger whenever you want.
Thanks for the quick responses @mkankatala and @prashant1603765 .
We are happy with the triggers and enable our weekend triggers if we have unprocessed volumes at COB Friday.
What we are trying to do is exclude weekend data from tiles/dashboards in Insights so the robot utilisation calculations are only based on Monday-Friday.
@Julian_Lewis
Sure! Here are simple UiPath steps to exclude weekends in Insights dashboard :
Open UiPath Insights.
Edit your dashboard or tile.
Add a filter:
Click “Add Filter”.
Select your date field (e.g., StartTime).
Use Day of Week function:DayOfWeek([StartTime])
Set filter condition:
Apply and save the dashboard.
This will remove Saturday and Sunday data from your visualizations.

Hey @Julian_Lewis hope this can help you.
cheers
@prashant1603765 I might be missing something but I can’t find the “DayOfWeek” function in Insights.
Are you able to provide a screenshot of what you’ve described?
Is there a way for Insights to reference a calendar? I’m looking to only exclude weekend data from a specific dashboard in Insights, not stop running RPA jobs on weekends

Hi @singh_sumit , I’m wanting to reference our existing calendar from an Insights dashboard, not create or change the calendar.
Do you know if it’s possible to do this?

Hey @Julian_Lewis if you want to exclude weekend .then you could try this in your project
1 option -
select the Frequency (Monthly Day week) and select all days except - Saturday and sunday.
2 option -
in your process select the frequency as Advanced and write the cron expression for exclude Saturday and sunday.
3 option - go to tenant -setting-non working days
select date and save that calender
then go to your process select the Frequency Advanced and then select the calender you create.
cheers
Hi @singh_sumit ,
I’m not trying to stop processing on weekends.
What I’m trying to do is change an Insights Dashboards to only show data from weekdays.
We have found a solution but it has some limitations:
Solution
Step 1: Add a filter for the date related field you wish to filter. In this example it is “Jobs - End Time”.
Step 2: For “Control” select “Advanced”.
Step 3: In the “Configure Default Value” dropdown select “matches (advanced)”.
Step 4: Enter the days of the week you wish to return separated by commas. In this example we want Monday through Friday, so we will enter this:
monday,tuesday,wednesday,thursday,friday
Result
The results only include weekdays, but is limited to only show that most recent of each week day.
Before apply “Weekdays Only” filter it will show every day, including weekends, from the past 14 days.
With “Weekdays Only” filter applied it now only shows the most recent example of each weekday, not every weekday in the last 14 days.
If anybody know how to improve this solution so it includes results beyond past week please let me know.
