# Excel's 'Read Range' is slow

I am using the “Read Range” in Excel files as shown in the image, but it took 15 minutes to read the range A1:DI1000.  
In production, I would like to read the entire sheet (around the range A1:DI4000), but with simple calculations, it will take about 1 hour, which is not feasible for operations.  
Are there any tips to read it faster?

Hello

As a quick fix, I think you should try setting the Read Range activity to explicitly format the values as “RawValue” and turn off the display rows. Please check if this improves the situation.

The display rows were originally OFF, so when I set the format of the values to “RawValue,” they loaded instantly! Thank you.
