Excel Activity - if one cells contain multiple lines then read range taking it as separate row the output should be single row

Hi, I’m using read range workbook but captured data is wrong.
The issue happens because some cells contain multiple lines due to line breaks (Alt + Enter), and UiPath’s Read Range activity is interpreting those as separate rows.

Hi @Meghana_Bonu1

Open the properties of read range workbook activity and tick the Preserve format option. This will bring you real data as it is.

You can try using Excel process scope and Excel Read Range activity.

I tried, still same issue

I have used (alt + enter) in cell for multiple lines.

I tried same with excel and behavior is as expected…it read as single cell only

It was displaying correctly. You’re checking in the Local panel, which is why it appeared that way. Since there’s limited space to display the data as shown in Excel, every column is separated by a comma (,), making it appear in that format.

For me also it was showing same there is no issue with the Read range workbook activity.

Try printing the below expression in Immediate panel.

yourDataTable.Rows(0)(2).ToString

You will see the cell value is in single cell and not in multiple rows.
