I have a little problem sending unattended ESC key to SAP 740 windows. Unattended activities (click and input) in a window do not work at all. Sap has scripts enabled and I can work in most windows. So, I only have to send esc keys to handle an exception window.
Please, if you can help me I will be grateful.
The problem here is usually that these windows are not the normal dialogs. The process is still waiting for SAP to respond. You have to define a timeout for the workflow and if this fails you can react to that.

If you will describe the use case, we can think about some better option than ESC.
There are always SAP button available. I would think about pressing the button
