Error VBNC30456: 'First' is not a member of 'System.String[]'

Feedback about the Data Manipulation with Strings in Studio Academy course.
Please type your feedback below.

In the course to get the author from a string:
author = InitialMessage.Split("."c).First.ToString.Substring(InitialMessage.LastIndexOf(“author”)+“author”.Length).Trim

From the course video transcript:
First, message dot split divides the message into array items using the period character as delimiter. There are two period characters in the input text, so it will split the initial string into three array elements, the last one being empty. The author’s name can be found in the first element. We used “.First” to retrieve the first array item.

I can run the automation inside the Studio without any problem, but when I run similar code from online VB compiler I got this error:

Console.WriteLine(“A,B,C”.Split(",“c)(1))
// Correct, print “B”
Console.WriteLine(“A,B,C”.Split(”,"c).First.ToString)
// error VBNC30456: ‘First’ is not a member of ‘System.String

Can you please advise where can I found the document about the “.First” array element?
What’s the VB runtime environment for Studio?
