Hi all,
I just got UI Path Community edition installed on my company PC for a project we’re starting. I opened blank document and made a flowchart on which I put “start” button and connected it with “assign” and “message box”, as it was said in the video.
Then I got this error: permission missing: lanucher. I opened logs in Notepad and right in a first row it said:
15:57:00:042 => [ERROR] [UiPath.Workflow.Logging.StudioTraceListener] [10] System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file ‘C:\Users#myusername\AppData\Local\UiPath\UiStudio.settings’.
File name: ‘C:\Users#myusername\AppData\Local\UiPath\UiStudio.settings’
However, when I follow the path, there is a file UiStudio.settings!
I read many topics about this one and everywhere it says it’s whether missing a license or having 2 UI Paths installed and reinstallation would help.
Since I work in a big company, reinstallation would take like 3 days to raise a ticket and then wait in the queue…, so I wanted to ask if we could eliminate license-related issues. The team confirmed me already that I have only 1 version installed of UIPath Robot and UIPath Studio (both same version).
I use community edition - do I even need a license for that? I clicked on the link to renew a license, but I need to put in device ID and in none of my e-mails I got from UI Path there’s a device ID.
