Error Fix For "You Have Not Been Authorized To Access Test Manager. You Can Request The Authorization Via The Button Below"

Testing Manager Login fails for admin account.

Issue: Admin user cannot login to Test Manager.

Error:


Pre-requisites: Test Automation Feature is enabled. Testing runtime licenses are allocated to the tenant.

Resolution:

  1. Click on Request Access.
  2. On Testmanager database,
    • Check tmcore.tenants and see if a record exists for this tenant. If a record exists, some user has already logged in to that tenant previously.
    • Check tmusr.users and see if there is another admin user already existing. Reach out to that admin user to grant authorization (Test Manager-->Users and Groups)


Note:

Though the second admin user is an admin, the first Admin user would have to grant authorization to the second admin user. The first admin user is kind of super admin until the second admin user is authorized.
