Error: Could not set IIS Web Site Bindings

Error "Could not set IIS web site bindings"

Troubleshooting steps

From the screenshot, it is visible the certificate is missing or not created or the Install certificate is corrupt.

  • Verify the certificate used for binding. For Immediate fix we would recommend to create a self signed SSL certificate.
  • Later change the binding with another certificate if required. Refer the link to install a certificate: Using a Certificate for the HTTPS Protocol
  • Ensure URL Rewrite is installed

Follow the steps : Exporting Self-Signed Certificates

Ensure certificate is Installed in both personal as well as trusted Root Certification Authorities.

Steps share in the link.

In few scenarios if certificate is placed in both the location and still if we are facing the issue , Kindly delete the certificate from both the location and retry importing & installing the same.  This would provide resolution.
