Error #100: "You don't have permission to perform this action" while creating an unattended robot account in UiPath Orchestrator

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to configure an Unattended Robot in UiPath Automation Cloud Orchestrator using the Unattended Setup Wizard.

When I reach the Create Robot Account step and click Next, I receive the following error:

“You don’t have permission to perform this action. Contact your administrator to request access. (#100)”

My environment

  • UiPath Automation Cloud
  • Orchestrator (Cloud)
  • Using the Unattended Setup Wizard
  • Windows machine
  • Credential Type: Windows Credentials

What I’ve already checked

  • I can access Orchestrator successfully.
  • I have access to the tenant.
  • The error occurs only when creating the robot account.
  • I’ve tried refreshing the page and signing in again, but the issue persists.

Thanks

This is normal behaviour.

I assume you are not an Organisation Administrator of your Orchestrator?

If not, only the Admin can create a a new robot from the Admin tab, and then you can retrieve that robot name in the setup wizard when specifying the details to consume the runtime.

Hi @JarrydScott I’m using the UiPath Community Edition. I’m getting an error while creating an Unattended Robot.

  • Ask your Orchestrator admin user to add at the tenant level this role: Orchestrator Administrator for your user

  • After this role was added to you, sign out from the platform

  • Sign in back and retry finishing setting up the unattended robot.
