i want to edit the already opened notepad file
for example:
i have a notepad file with number of lines
"#This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
"# entry should be kept on an individual line.
#12333
#1455
#10.28.363.21
#10.28.363.22
#10.28.363.23
"# entry should be kept on an individual line.
"# entry should be kept on an individual line. "

in that i want to remove the # tag from (#10.28.363.21,#10.28.363.22,#10.28.363.23) how to do this?

Select everything from notepad either by using Get Text from the notepad window or by doing Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C in which case you now have the text in clipboard.

Once you have that you can use the replace function to remove the # sign.

If you need to be more specific, split the text into different rows by using the split function and loop through them, saying if i.p. = xxxx.xxx then remove the # sign.

Use the forum and google to search for these activities/functions to achieve your solution.
