E-mail Notifications using Office 365 (SMTP Client Submission)

Has anyone gotten their orchestrator configured to send E-mail notifications using the Office 365 relay as a client smtp submission?

using the relay server:
smtp.office365.com

If you don’t know what I’m talking about see option 1 (recommended) here:

We’ve had our messaging group create an office 365 connector for the orchestrator web application. Still no luck.

We’ve still not come to a resolution on this. Has any one in the community been able to send E-mail notifications from using smtp.office365.com?

Same issue here. Tried with

SMTP Server: smtp[dot]office365[dot]com
SMTP Security: Don’t enable SSL
Port: 587

Got the error msg:
Sending the test mail failed! SmtpStatusCode: MustIssueStartTlsFirst. Original message from SMTP server: The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.7.57 SMTP; Client was not authenticated to send anonymous mail during MAIL FROM [DB6PR0201CA0002[dot]eurprd02[dot]prod[dot]outlook[dot]com] (#2600)

Then tried:
SMTP Server: smtp[dot]office365[dot]com
SMTP Security: Enable SSL
Port: 995

Got the error msg:
Sending the test mail failed! SmtpStatusCode: 0. Original message from SMTP server: Syntax error, command unrecognized. The server response was: (#2600)

Anybody know how to solve this?

this seems to work:

smtp: [domain].mail.protection.outlook.com
smtp port: 25
disable SSL

I click on test mail settings and get:

The test mail was sent successfully to *******. Please verify the inbox to check that it was received as expected

However, nothing arrives in the inbox. Any idea why??
