How can I download all UiPath Dependency packages from US region only, as by default it is trying to download from Europe?

Issue Description

As a policy, some of the organizations do not want to open their network access to download UiPath dependency packages from outside of US regions. By default, UiPath Studio/UiPath Robot downloads packages from Europe (Netherlands) region as the Official feed is set to https://pkgs.dev.azure.com/uipath/Public.Feeds/_packaging/UiPath-Official/nuget/v3/index.json.

Root Cause

https://pkgs.dev.azure.com/uipath-us/Public.Feeds/_packaging/UiPath-Official/nuget/v3/index.json has its nupkg files stored in Europe Azure Storage Buckets (*.blob.core.windows.net).

https://pkgs.dev.azure.com/uipath-us/Public.Feeds/_packaging/UiPath-Official/nuget/v3/index.json has its nupkg files stored in US Azure Storage Buckets (*.blob.core.windows.net).

Resolution

Follow the steps to download the Official UiPath dependencies from a US region.

  1. Close any Studio instances.
  2. Please go to the below location where Studio is installed:
    • %LocalAppData%\Programs\UiPath\Studio for per-user installations.
    • %ProgramFiles%UiPath\Studio for per-machine installations.
  1. Take a backup of NuGet.config file.
  2. Open the NuGet.config file. You will see the below entry.

Note: This is for the Europe (Netherlands) region:

  1. Update the key Official and its value as below, which will get the nupkg dependency files stored in US Azure Storage Buckets.

  1. Open Studio.
  2. Retry to open the UiPath Studio project and repair/install the required project dependencies.
