I’ve been using the UiPath Community Edition and found myself a bit disappointed by the lack of actions available for reading PDFs.
Does the Free version have the completed Action Library, or is there more available in the Paid version?
You will have to install PDF activities package to get pdf reading activities.
Follow these steps to install it.
Only basic activities and packages are coming by default. For any specific requirements - always identify the package name and download the same from manage package section
In your case - you can download PDF package. Search with keyword pdf to know the available packages
Whatever does not need external connection or separate unit consumption they should be avilavle to you

After installing the UiPath.PDF.Activities package as suggested above, you should be able to find activities such as:
- Read PDF Text (for native PDFs)
- Read PDF With OCR (for OCR extraction).
If using OCR, you need to drag in an engine for this, and these could have a cost related.
