Differences between similar activities in excel

Good day guys.
I’m new to UiPath and I’m taking a course by Jensen Anders, but i cant find the Write Range activity for excel. I can only find the Write Data Table to excel and the Write Range Workbook.
I will be glad if anybody can offer some help.

Hi @Drizzy

Both are used to write the datatable to Excel. Write DataTable to Excel needs Excel dependency to be installed and use within Excel Process Scope container whereas Write Range Workbook can we used directly.

Hi,

In modern Excel, activity which write datatable to worksheet in UseExcelFile activity is WriteDataTabletoExcel. If it’s necessary to write datatable to workbook without using Excel, try WriteRangeWorkbook.
If you need classic WriteRange activity, please turn on ShowClassic at Filter of Activites panel.
