What is difference between image recording and native Citrix recording?unable to understand it.can anyone make me understand with a real life use case?
- Image – Used to record virtualized environments (such as VNC, virtual machines, Citrix, and more) or SAP. It permits only image, text and keyboard automation, and requires explicit positioning.
- Native Citrix - Is the equivalent of the Desktop recorder, but for Citrix environments. Only use this in your Native Citrix automation projects. Find out more about Native Citrix Support .
Can’t we use image recording for native Citrix projects?
Yes ofcourse we can
but if you have the UiPath Extension for Citrix on the client machine and the UiPath Remote Runtime component on the Citrix Virtual Apps (formerly known as Citrix XenApp) application servers then all the elements in that Citrix environment can be accessed as a individual elements
There won’t be a need of image automation if Citrix extension is installed unless you really have a image to process in that Citrix environment
That’s Citrix automation is same as desktop but for Citrix environment with Citrix extension installed
Thanks @Palaniyappan !
Glad it got clarified @ydash999
