Difference between Document Validation Action and Document Classification Action

I’ve got my head around the Form Actions and Classification Actions, but I’m having trouble understanding how the Validation Action differs from the Classification Action.

I got it to create a Validation Action. In Action Center, it gives me one pulldown to select the document type from the taxonomy, and select the evidence in the document and save it. Is that it? That’s what validation is - making sure the document type is correct?

Is that the difference between Validation and Classification - Validation is just “this document is this type” whereas Classification allows splitting the file into multiple different document types?

Oh I think I figured it out. The Validation action is about extracting data from the document and verifying the data is correct.
