Delete Machine From License Tab

Why is it not possible for a user to delete a machine from the Licensing tab, despite the fact that the machine no longer appears under the Machines section or in any Folders?

Issue description

Sometimes, even after a machine has been deleted from Orchestrator (i.e. it is no longer present under the 'Machines' tab), it may still be visible under the 'License' tab. (Tenant --> License --> License Type XXX --> See More).

Resolution

Note: Any unwanted amendments in DB can cause the application to crash. Ensure to have enough backup.

  1. First, double-check that the machine is not present within the Orchestrator. If it is, disconnect the Robot and then remove the machine from the "Tenant --> Machine" tab.
  2. If the above is not feasible, work with the Internal DBA and try adjusting the values under each table for that machine.

In table 'dbo.RobotLicenses' set the 'Enabled' column to 0 for that Machine In table 'dbo.Sessions' set the 'IsDeleted' = 1 and 'Enabled' = 0

    1. If the issue persists, delete manually from the tables:
      • dbo.RobotLicenses
      • dbo.Sessions
