Solution to this Since we were using Classic Excel scope, in properties there is an Instance Cache, value mentioned as 3000, change it to 0, resolved the issue for me.

May i know to which format are you trying to save?
Xls or Xlsx??

Can you save it to both formats and check if any of the format is working?
