Date format change in excel column

I have already tried with Balareva activity Change Cell Type activity… it did not work bro :frowning:

Insert a new column b/w T and U. And inser formula like below.

=DATE(LEFT(T3,4),MID(T3,6,2),MID(T3,9,2))

Post applying a formula in cells change the format of the cells as “Custome” with format as “dd/mm/yyyy”. This will convert into required format.

will try and get back to you bro . Thank you @Utpal_Shah

it worked bro but how to apply for multiple columns…in my excel, I need to change from column N to column T May I know how to get this done for multiple columns?

Please find my excel for your reference.data-export-20201016000001-swaps.xlsx (1.1 MB)

@eshwarsai_ks
have a look here:
ChangeAllISODateFormats.xaml (13.6 KB)

implemented on the ’ trick to force Excel to keep values as text and blocks auto formats
one column required reformating due long numbers

How ever using a macro / invoke VBA would be another option as it is working directly to the source it is maybe the more strict approach.

Hi @eshwarsai_ks,

I have used the below activities to get the solution.

  • DateTime ParseTo Datatable
  • CopyTo Clipboard
  • Paste Clipboard
  • Change Cell Type

Here is the solution.

ChangeFormat.zip (1.1 MB)

Note :

End of the DateTime, it has Z(Zone). So it added for 1 hour. Because I am in the daylight zone.

Check this one.

Thank you

Hi @balupad14 May I know do I need to do any changes in the code in order to get the DateTime Zone or can I proceed to implement as you have shared?
