Data Scraping Wizard Fails to Produce Corresponding Activity

Hi,

I’m currently attempting to scrape the data on the ACME Work Items page for RPA Developer Assignment #1. I’m facing the same issue as this issue and this issue. However, I’ve tried both of those solutions and they have not helped. I’ve created a new blank sequence to scrape and no new data scraping activity appears. I am even unable to scrape the Yahoo Tesla page referenced in the UiAcademy videos.

I have the UiPath Web Automation Extension installed and I am using Chrome.

Uipath was recommended to use IE browser to automate ACME site.

Thank you for the quick reply! I’ve attempted to use the scraping wizard on this link Tesla, Inc. (TSLA) Stock Historical Prices & Data - Yahoo Finance on IE but it still failed to produce any activity in a new blank sequence.

Are you using Web scraping only right to scrape data ?

I am using the Data Scraping tool on UiPath Studio to scrape the data as a DataTable.

Then it should work. Are you not able to scrape any structured data or what ? May i know what error are you getting at the time of indicating that structured data ?

So the scraping wizard recognizes the structured data and produces a window like this

. However, when I click “Finish”, the window closes and returns to UiPath Studio but no new activity is added in the sequence. In other words, the Scraping Wizard fails to create any activity in the sequence that would scrape the structured data.

Could you please update packages if it asks to update it. And also once restart Uipath studio and then check once.
