We’re planning to try a small visual change on the UiPath Forum and wanted to loop you in before and see how it lands with you.
For the next two weeks, we’ll be setting dark mode as the default Forum theme.
From what we’ve seen and from what we’ve heard from many of you, most builders work in dark environments already. Tools, editors, and terminals are often set to dark mode, and we want your Forum to feel consistent with that workflow rather than pulling you into a very different visual context.
The idea behind this change is to make your Forum feel more aligned with how developers actually work day to day, and more consistent with the rest of the UiPath ecosystem.
This is a trial, and your input matters .
We’d really appreciate your feedback during these two weeks:
How does dark mode feel as the default?
Would you prefer light mode by default, or the forum remembering your last choice?
Any comfort or accessibility issues we should be aware of?
Share your thoughts in the comments. We’ll review the feedback at the end of the trial before deciding what to do next.
Dark mode as default makes sense and feels consistent with how most of us work
Personally, I’d prefer the forum to remember the user’s last choice (dark or light). That would cover both comfort and accessibility needs.
Happy to share more feedback as the trial continues.
I really like the new dark mode, my only issue is that when I see the links, I keep thinking that they are misspelled words instead of links due to the dotted orange underline on the black background
I’m on Light mode since on the forum so I felt scared when I noticed dark mode appeared suddenly without my permission
I think mode change should be conducted under approval by each person in advance..
Definitely I prefer Light mode.
Thanks for the update! Dark mode as the default feels comfortable and aligns well with how most developers work. It would be ideal if the Forum could remember each user’s last selected theme, so everyone gets a consistent experience. Just a small note on ensuring good contrast for readability, but over all this change feels positive. Looking forward to seeing how the trial goes!
Since the dark mode style sheet is already there, and the old one still exist undoubtedly:
Why go for this trial period and not just add 1 control on top where users can select there preference?
(Having a light preference myself)
Edit: my bad; it is there… just a bit out of sight…
