Custom fields from Robot Logs Available in Cloud Insights!

:loudspeaker: We are very excited to announce that support for custom fields from Robot Logs is now available on Cloud Insights!! :tada:

Insights ingests the data found within the pre-defined fields (see the Insights Data Model for more details) to fuel all of our dashboard templates, such as Robots, Processes and Queues. This is a great starting point for any automation team looking to track, measure and improve their RPA operations. Starting this month, Cloud Insights has added support for Custom Variables in Robot logs!

Admins can now configure custom variables that are extracted from robot logs to use for calculating specific KPIs or building more specialized dashboards. A common example would be building an invoice process-specific dashboard that can track and report on invoice cycle time or rate of exceptions.

Support for custom fields from queues will be coming shortly.

We welcome you to provide feedback about our new feature, and may your Insights be insightful!

In the QueueItems table, does the SpecificData column typically provide similar data?

Hey Ron,

Yes, for Cloud Insights, you can also add custom variables for queues now as well and the documentation can be found here: https://docs.uipath.com/insights/v0/docs/custom-variables

You can add custom variables to the Specific Data field in the Add Queue Item activity, or to the Output Data or Analytics Data fields in the Set Transaction Status activity.
