Crossmark instead of Tickmark in checkbox

Hello folks,

I have a small requirement that I need to print the value of checkbox which is either male or female and it is marked with Crossmark instead of Tickmark in checkboxes. Now, I have a doubt that can we work with crossmarks in checkboxes. Could anyone suggest.
