Create Asset API with Specific Folder

Hi,

I tried to create asset using Orchestrator HTTP Request, it works but I need the asset to be added to specific folder not ‘Default’ folder, is there any way to do that.

I used the following JSON input

{
	"Name": "Test",
	"ValueScope": "Global",
	"ValueType": "Text",
	"StringValue": "123"
}

Thank you

If you want to create Asset in specific folder then your request must contain either the FolderId or FolderPath in an HTTP header.

https://docs.uipath.com/orchestrator/v0/reference/building-api-requests

  1. First find out the Folder ID or Folder path for your required folder.

  2. Then pass that Folder ID into your post request to create Asset into it.
