Hi Team @loginerror @ovi
I am currently working on converting a Word document into a Google Document, and I’ve encountered some challenges regarding the preservation of formatting, color codes, hyperlinks, and overall layout.
Upon reading the text from the Word document, I attempted to insert the content into a Google Doc. However, I noticed that the color codes, hyperlinks, and formatting from the original Word document were not carried over accurately.
I would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions on how to effectively convert a Word document into a Google Document while ensuring that the formatting remains intact. Your assistance and expertise in this matter would be invaluable.
Hi @Naveen_Chaganti ,
I think
You perform operation in Word application scope, and perform replace text activity in same word, it will preserve the state ( formatting).
But if you try to copy the content to another word file using read text activity preserving the content , I don’t think it possible.
Regards,
LNV
But its not working as expected since its unable to keep color and text formats
Hi @Naveen_Chaganti ,
Could you let us know what are the steps that you have tried ?
Also, when you mention “Google Document”, what type of document is it actually ?
If performing UI operations, you should also be able to upload the created word document to Google Drive.
Do let us know the steps or tasks involved, so that we can provide you with appropriate suggestions.
