Connection failed: User license disabled (Error 1931) - Community Plan

Hi all,

We are encountering UiPath error code 1931 “User license disabled!” when attempting to connect UiPath Assistant/Studio to our Orchestrator tenant.

Organization: Asociatia Inotech (Community Plan)
Tenant: DefaultTenant
Affected user: Stefan Sava (stefan@aec.ngo)
Support ID: 3696-1778-3864-8974

Steps to reproduce:
Step one: Open UiPath Assistant and attempt to connect to the tenant using the stefan@aec.ngo account.
Step two: The “Connect to tenant” dialog shows: “Connection failed: User license disabled!”

Expected outcome: The user should connect successfully and be issued an Automation Developer - Named User license.
Actual outcome: Connection fails with “User license disabled!”

Troubleshooting already performed:
Verified Stefan Sava has an Automation Developer - Named User license (plus Attended and Citizen Developer) directly allocated under Admin, Licenses, License Allocations to Users.
Verified the user’s Orchestrator role assignments (Orchestrator Administrator, Folder Administrator) are correctly configured.
Verified the organization subscription is active, licensed until 1/1/2027, with no deactivation notices.
Per the official Licensing troubleshooting docs, error 1931 means “Your user license has been disabled” and the suggested solution is to raise a support ticket, but the Customer Portal states support isn’t available for Community plans.

Since paid support isn’t available on the Community Plan, I’m hoping someone here (or a UiPath team member) can help re-enable this user’s license. Thanks in advance!

Hi @Stefan_Sava1,
The license assignment is not properly synchronized on the UiPath Cloud backend, not a permissions or role configuration issue. For Community accounts, posting the issue on the UiPath Community Forum is the recommended escalation path if the above steps do not resolve it.

Hi @Stefan_Sava1

theres another thread with the exact same error 1931 on community, same situation as yours, license properly allocated and everything looking right. In the end what fixed it for him was just signing out and back in from inside the Assistant

open the Assistant, click the icon on the top right of the dialog, go to Preferences, Orchestrator connection, and hit Sign out, then sign back in. Apparently the local session was holding a stale license state, and it started working right after that

heres the thread in case you want to see it: Community Edition利用中のユーザーライセンス無効について(Error code 1931)

worth a try before assuming its something on the backend side. hope it works for you too
