Summary: “Configure Format” input dialog cannot be accessed when user changes focus to different program and then comes back to UiPath Studio. It creates the UiPath studio unresponsive - every UI element in the Studio is blocked due to opened input dialog, which is not visible.
Expected: When user comes back to UiPath Studio, user see “Configure Format” input dialog.
Repro steps:
- Create new “Process” Project.
- Add “Format Value” activity to main sequence.
- Click on a “Set Format…” button.
- Change your focus from “Configure Format” input dialog to different program/window.
- Use ALT+TAB key combination to return to the UiPath Studio.
- —> Notice that “Configure Format” input dialog is missing.
- Try to click on any element in the Studio.
- —> Notice that Studio becomes unresponsive and there is an Windows error sound plays. User cannot change focus to “Configure Format” input dialog again, as there is not visible any process related with the issue.
There is a workaround for now: Open Task Manager → find UiPath.Studio.Project process → expand the list and right click on a Configure Format process → click on switch to option.

I’ve decided to submit the issue through the forum because there is a workaround of the problem, so users could apply it till the issue will be fixed.
