Is Computer Vision ( CV ) data sent to a third party? Where is the data stored? What is the retention policy?
CV Data Handling and Retention
- AI CV is hosted in our EU region. Data Residency - Cloud: Tenant And Service Regions
- Data is stored only at design time. Execution time data stays only in memory and is deleted after the analysis is complete
- Design-time only (Studio) screenshots may be stored (for up to 5 years), to improve the model
- Screenshots of the automated interfaces are processed on our cloud servers, hosted in Azure
- We only store data from our cloud server, that has been seen and indicated by a user
- We recommend that all the design-time images contain only test data, never actual data from production environments
- No runtime/Robot data is stored; Production (Robot) data is never stored
- The analysis is done on our cloud servers
- There is option to request data deletion by opening a support case
- Data is encrypted at rest and in transit
- Computer Vision explicitly uses an OCR engine to detect text in interfaces, and any OCR engine can be used. Some OCR engines are cloud-based, so they send data off-site. It's up to each customer to decide their internal OCR policy.
