Communication minning use case

Hello to all the UiPath experts here.

I am currently considering using communication mining in my organisation for email classification. The idea is basically to clasify around 60000 mails that are in one email box and are a mix of many different categories (insurance domain).
Is communication mining a good choice for this use case?
For whomever have some experience with such use cases could you give me your insights?
In general for Communication Mining users what is your experience and do you recommend using it for my use case scenario?

Hi @Nathan_Goel

yes, communication mining is a good fit for this use case. it is designed for large-scale email classification, supports supervised training with custom categories, and performs well on high-volume inboxes like 60,000+ emails. it is commonly used in insurance scenarios, but model training, data quality, and licensing should be evaluated before full adoption. you can try.

If helpful, mark as solution. Happy automation with UiPath

Hi @Nathan_Goel

Yes, Communication Mining is a good choice for classifying 60k insurance emails, if you can do some initial training. It handles unstructured emails well and improves over time, but it’s not plug-and-play and has higher cost than rule-based methods.

@Nathan_Goel

if its only classification based on pre set rules then you done need communication mining..if you want to extract some info and then do further process then communication mining is ideal..only for classification then you have many other ways like using Gen AI activiites or even email AI AI Center - Email AI

cheers

I’d recommend Communication Mining for your scenario, especially if your goal is email categorization, routing, or downstream automation.

What’s your goal after email classification?
