Hi All

I’m trying to capture one button but getting error like cannot communicate with browser. Already extension installed. I’m using UiPath 2026.0.

Please help, how to resolve this issues.

Is UiPath extension enabled? If you are on incognito mode, you have to give additional permission to extension.

Also restarting browser might be helpful.

Please check is browser extension are installed and enabled or try to delete it once and reinstalled the extension
Please confirm which browser you are using is it edge or chrome

Try this,
Open UiPath Studio → Home → Tools → Browser Extensions → Repair/Install (don’t rely on Chrome store).

Restart UiPath Studio and the browser.

This usually happens due to a broken connection or version mismatch between the browser and UiPath extension. Reinstall or update the browser extension, restart the browser and UiPath Robot service, and re-indicate the page using Use Application/Browser instead of the classic Attach Browser. This resolves the issue in UiPath 2026.0.

In browser, go to extensions, see if UI Automation extension is enable or not. If Eanble, just disable and enable it and test process…

If still issues, close studio, then open studio as admininstrator, then indicate again by opening the browser.

If nothing works, reinstall extension from studio
Studio → Tools → Web Automation → Browser Extensions

This error usually means the UiPath chrome native messaging host is not communicating with the chrome, even though the extension is installed
