Changing the default dependency versions

In studio and studiox when you setup a new project it starts up with a set of default dependencies which must then be manually updated for every single project. That is a repetitive unskilled task which needs to be automated. I am looking for a way to either locally or better yet in a deployable manner update the DEFAULT dependency versions to specific versions which have been tested, approved, and recommended by our central IT group.

I can’t seem to find any way to change these default versions other than using the “manage packages” functionality. It seems insane that a product which is specifically intended to be used to eliminate things like this has a wasteful manual process built in. Someone please help me out and tell me that there is a way to do this.

Hi @Joseph_P_Lederman, welcome to the Community.

There is a way to update the default dependencies in UiPath Studio & StudioX to specific versions. You can create a custom activity feed that includes the approved packages and set it as the default feed for your organization.

With the custom feed set as the default, every new project created in UiPath Studio & StudioX will use the approved packages from your custom feed instead of the default packages.

Hope this helps,
Best Regards.
