Changing PC hardware changes license?

Hello,

I have a Studio license on my laptop, but i want to clone & upgrade the main drive on this machine. Will this affect my “machine ID” associated with my UiPath license and make the license non-valid on my “new” PC?

Hi @MikeBlades,

If you are talking about Community Edition(CE) yes your Device ID is associated with the Email but in case of CE you can install it up to two machines so you will not face any issues there.

But if you are using an enterprise edition it will totally depend on the type of license you have. And you might have to contact support team for this.

So you are having a studio enterprise license.

Better to Migrate License i mean export it and deactivate it on machine then after your work Register it again.
