Change Name of Environment

Hello,
is it in the meantime possible to change the name of an Environment in the Orchestrator? IF not, is it possible to change the name direct in the Orchestrator Database with an update statement? Does anyone know that? It is very laborious to create a new one and add all the processes etc. again.
Thanks for answering.

I read the topic: Change environment name without interruption

Hi @Volker_Hofheinz1 ,
Thanks for reaching out to UiPath Community.

You can go through these steps.

  • Log in to UiPath Orchestrator.
  • Navigate to the Environments page.
  • Select the Environment whose name you want to change.
  • Click on the “Edit” button in the top-right corner of the page.
  • Update the name of the Environment in the “Name” field.
  • Click on the “Save” button to save the changes.

Let me know if you find this helpful and Happy Automation :grinning:

Hi Pratik,
this is not possible, because the field name is not editable.

Hi @Volker_Hofheinz1 ,

As shown below it’s not possible to edit the environment name at a later stage, I believe we won’t be able to do it in database too.

For migrating the process to another environment, you can find many custom activities in the market place:

Hi,
but that is not very comfortable and a huge effort. I think it’s better to make an update on the environment table on the database. I tested it and it was working.
