Number of simultaneous activities I can perform with an enterprise license

Hello team, I would like to know if you know how many processes in Simulateo I can run with an enterprise license. Currently, I have only tried with two, but I would like to know if I can take advantage of more even if I have to buy more VMs.

Hi @Belkis_Vanessa_Mendoza_Ch,

An Enterprise license has no fixed limit on simultaneous processes. Concurrency depends on two things:

  • Unattended runtimes: one runtime = one concurrent job.
  • Robot accounts: one account can run only one UI (foreground) job at a time.

For UI jobs, N concurrent jobs need N runtimes and N robot accounts with distinct Windows credentials. You can run them in one of two ways:

  • Multiple VMs: one robot account per VM.
  • High-Density Windows Server: multiple robot accounts on one server, each in its own user session, up to the number of runtimes on the machine template. This is often cheaper than many VMs.

For background (non-UI) jobs, multiple jobs can run at the same time under one account, limited only by runtimes.

Cheers!

Agree with @Prashanth_D

An Enterprise (Unattended) license has no fixed cap on how many processes/jobs you can run simultaneously.
Concurrency is driven by two separate capacity levers, not a “number of processes” limit:

  • Unattended runtimes: one runtime = one concurrent job. Runtimes are pooled and assigned to machine templates, so more runtimes = more concurrency, regardless of named users.
  • Robot accounts: for foreground/UI jobs specifically, one robot account can only run one UI job at a time, since it needs its own interactive Windows session. Background (non-UI) jobs don’t have this constraint, and several can run under one account, limited only by runtimes.

To scale UI-job concurrency, you have two supported paths:

  • More VMs: one robot account per VM
  • High-Density Windows Server: multiple robot accounts on a single server, each in its own session, up to the number of runtimes on that machine template
