Can't view and use a few properties in System.Activities

Description

In the Community Edition of UiPath, I am able to use System.Activities. However, some main properties are not visible and I can’t use them in the Retry Scope activity, Invoke Code, or Multiple Assign. I have also downgraded the System.Activities package, but it is still not working.

Hi @Selvarameshkumar_P

What is your exact Studio version and the System activity versions with which you have already tried it?

@Selvarameshkumar_P,

Are your activities looking like this?

You can refer this article on why it happens and how you can fix it.

If something else is the issue, please share a screenshot what’s the issue.

Hi @ashokkarale,

Actually, the issue is that I cannot view and enter into the inner sequence for the Retry Scope activity. I have installed the System.Activities package, but I am not using the runtime package and all. For the Multiple Assign activity, the Set Property and Value properties are not visible. For the Invoke Code activity, the
Argument property is not visible. I have downgraded and tried all versions of the packages but still face the same issue. When I downgrade the studio version, the issue is fixed, but I have many libraries developed in the current version, so I cannot use them in an older version of UiPath. I need to resolve this issue in the current version of UiPath. If you have faced this issue previously, I would appreciate your assistance.

@Selvarameshkumar_P,

What’s the studio version?

Have you tried deleting project.json?

I just created a new test project in Studio 23.4 and upgraded it to System 25.2.2.

Multiple Assign, Retry Scope, and Invoke Code do not even exist. Same issue with 25.2.1. That’s likely why he can’t see them properly. Seems like there is a major problem with 25.x.

In fact there are NO activities installed from UiPath.System.Activities:

I removed all other dependencies, leaving only System, and there are literally no activities available except for Default Activities:

Downgraded to 24.10.7 and everything is back but it’s mostly in the runtime.

You should use UiPath.System.Activities 24.10.7 until UiPath fixes the 25.x versions.

Hi @ashokkarale , My studio version is 2025.0.161

Sure @J0ska. I will try this and get back here.

Hi @J0ska. I have deleted the project.json file and checked, but it’s still not fixed.

Hi @postwick. I have tried, but it’s still not fixed.

You may try turning off separate design and runtime dependencies.

@postwick

Could you please share your exact Studio version?

I tested this on Studio 23.4.12 and I can see all the activities, even though they are under the Runtime group:

There are two bugs here:

  1. Activities grouped under UiPath.System.Activities and UiPath.System.Activities.Runtime.Windows → I can reproduce this one, we’ll have a look.
  2. Not seeing the activities at all → I cannot reproduce this one.

We are on 23.4.4 Studio.

Hi @postwick. I’m going to downgrade Studio. I think this is the only solution for this. Which version is stable in the present releases?

I just wouldn’t use the 25.x version of UiPath.System.Activities. Aside from that, I can’t recommend a specific Studio version. I only know that Studio 23.4 works fine with the 24.x version of System. However, you’ll be missing out on some very good features if you downgrade to Studio 23.4
